For a shoe working off such a low profile – just a 2mm heel to toe drop for that barefoot sensation – it has a surprisingly sturdy, comfortable feel. The roomy toe box is certainly a massive plus as is the stiff responsiveness this shoe provides. If rock and gravel are your thing then, on distances of less than 10 miles, the Topo has what you need. However, do not expect much in the way of cushioning and don't venture into anything remotely resembling a muddy field. Grip is perfectly acceptable for moderate and dry trails, but it's not made for full on muddy squelch-fests.
A stiff yet responsive 'barefoot' shoe, best for drier trails.
