These were a fun pair of Saucony shoes and coped well with every trail thrown at them – particularly technical trails. Aggressive lugs cover the sole, making mud a breeze. They fit snuggly around the mid-foot, with a more spacious toe box allowing for a good movement through the foot without compromising on technical ability. They do have slight pronation control, but it’s marketed as a neutral shoe. It’s not pronounced, however, so it’s still a comfortable ride. With only a 4mm drop these don’t have guided motion through the foot – it’s best for mid-foot rather than heel-strikers. Their External Bedrock Outsole did a fabulous job of fending off sharp rock. A joy to wear.
Nippy and ideal for rough technical terrain, but avoid running on road with them.
