Salomon’s 6mm-drop bestseller (light trails sector), the Sense Pro 2 balances feel and protection. They’re for a narrower foot and don’t have as much support through the midfoot as the Speedcross or Wings Pro 2 from previous tests, allowing the foot to splay more on long-distance runs.
They still sport ProFeel Film in the sole, for underfoot protection. A quick-drying single-layer breathable mesh is appreciated, and they use Salomon’s easy Quicklace system. Sensifit cradles the foot securely for comfort and confidence.
Although designed for less technical ground, these did well; Wet Traction Contagrip gripped trails when the going got soggy.
Loaded with technology; a superb choice for light trails.
