Many American and European trail shoes are built for the hard, dusty tracks we so rarely get to experience in the UK. Not so with the More Mile Cheviots: they’re built like a pair of football boots. Despite a tendency to clog in claggiest of clods, the aggressive studs provide outstanding levels of grip across muddy terrain. The studs are built from fairly unforgiving rubber and the cushioning is minimal so short stretches across tarmac and hard terrain can prove quite uncomfortable; it’s often possible to feel the tread through the shoe. Found for as little as £25 online, they’d be a great value addition to your arsenal for thick winter mud.
Not great for all-year but a fantastic value obstacle run or mud specialist.
