An excellent all-round 10mm drop shoe. These are marketed as an out-and-out mountain shoe, but they coped well on country terrain, too. Fierce grip doesn’t get in the way of gentler undulating trails, but still digs in on technical ground. A really sticky rubber is used (FriXion – used in La Sportiva’s climbing shoes) to help with grip over wet surfaces.
The lacing system is very effective, tightening around the foot to keep it in place. Instead of a standard tongue you wrap layers of the shoe around the foot (Spyraltongue™ Technology), which is effective for keeping out debris, and makes for a comfortable fit. As always, go up half a size with La Sportiva.
Superb all-rounder for every kind of trail running.
