The La Sportive Akasha is an attractive and extremely solid shoe. They do come up slightly small, so it’s worth investigating a size up, but despite this I didn’t struggle with downhill. The lugs are large but discreet, and spaced far enough apart to shed debris well. They coped well with all terrain thrown at them, and my foot felt very secure. They’re ideal for a narrower foot with more freedom around the mid-foot (reducing sore spots), and a closer fitting toe box helps you to hit more technical ground while still having a good amount of cushioning for absorbing the shock. The Trail Rocker promotes more of a forefoot strike, helping you move forward with ease.
Firm but well cushioned – great support over long distances.
