Middle-distance legend among those running the Forestry 100 series event

Former world 1500m champion Steve Cram will make a guest appearance running the Hamsterley Forest 10km in Bishop Auckland on Sunday April 7.

Aside from having the chance to run with the former multiple world record-holder, participants will run along woodland paths and beautiful forest trails, and be rewarded with magnificent views across the forest and North Pennine Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The event is part of the Forestry 100 Challenge., a series of 16 10km events launched by Forestry Commission England to celebrate the nation’s forests.

All runners will collect a bespoke wooden running medal and there will be more prizes for the leading finishers.
