1 Challenge yourself

Create challenges that force you to fight through barriers like your fears, doubts and anxieties. Nothing better than running out in the wilds, battling the weather and testing your mental and physical endurance!

2 Self-belief

The only way to believe in yourself is to prove to yourself you can do the things that are difficult and scary. Nothing is too much, nothing too tough. You’ll be amazed at what you can do.

3 Plan for success

To be successful sketch out a plan before you start. Confidence-building is
three fold: 

  • First you have to think success
  • Believe in your ability to problem solve
  • Believe in your own self worth: like yourself and your life!

All of the above can be significantly improved through trail running! 

4 Follow your fear

Actively pursue the things that scare you. I never in a million years imagined I could run 100km or do an Ironman. Fitness and running have never come naturally for me and I hated sport at school. So I had to change my mind-set. Everything can change when you find a passion and that passion lights up your life.


5 Be true to yourself

Give yourself permission to be yourself. I discovered what it truly feels like to feel free and limitless through trail running. There is nothing that beats running out of your door with a backpack, some food and water and just exploring to see how far you can go.
