Britain's Holly Page is celebrating being back at the top of the leaderboard in the Migurun Skyrunner World Series Classic category after her win in the Buff Epic Trail 42km in Spain last weekend.

Page, who is featured in the August-September 2018 edition of Trail Running (out July 12), recalled: "Normally I set off too slowly so I decided to go out hard from the start. I was first from the beginning, which is quite scary as you don’t know who is behind. I’ve done quite a lot of racing the last few weeks so my legs are quite tired. It was a race for strength but also mental strength. It was amazing being on the ridge at the top and enjoying the views all around, making the most of it before the London office tomorrow morning."

The Brit, who just over 12 months after suffered a life-threatening fall in the Alps,  finished 27 minutes clear in Vall de Boí in a time of 5:03:40.

Behind winner Marc Pinsach from Spain, Scotland's Finlay Wild was second.

The sixth Sky Classic category race will take place in the Italian Dolomites on July 22 with the Dolomyths Run.
