Scott Snowdonia Trail Marathon
Callum Rowlinson took victory at the Scott Snowdonia Trail Marathon, while GB mountain-running international Emma Clayton won the accompanying half-marathon event on Sunday.
Rowlinson completed the tough course in three 51 minutes 42 seconds, crossing the finish line in Llanberis nearly three minutes clear. Leading woman Jo Meek was ninth overall in 4:10:36.
Elliot Cox was first finisher in the half-marathon, clocking 1:52:57 to cross the line 22 seconds ahead of runner-up Jezz Bragg.
Clayton, who won bronze in the 2015 European Mountain Running Championships, was well clear of the rest of the women as she ran 2:15:44.
More than 600 completed the marathon and a further 500 the half-marathon event. The marathon route, which involved 1685m of ascent, circumnavigated Snowdon before taking the runners to the peak of Wales' highest mountain. The half-marathon took the Snowdon Ranger route rather than the Pyg track to the top.
Entries for next year's race open on July 26.
