RUNNERS INVITED TO JOIN ONE RUN GLOBAL CHALLENGE

Runners are being urged to join thousands of others for the One Run Global Challenge on December 10 to combat child discrimination.

The event on Human Rights Day invites anyone to run or walk for an hour as part of an effort to raise $1 million dollars for partner charities Unicef, No Bully, NOH8 Campaign, Do Something and Know Your Rights Camp.

The One Run Global Challenge will take place at 7-8pm local time around the world.

Diver Tom Daley and US actress Mayim Bialik are among those backing the campaign.

“2020 has been filled with extraordinary events, stories of inequality, injustice and hardship. We’re coming together to show the world that love is a human right and no child should be hated for who they are”, said One Run co-founder Danny Bent. “We welcome every country, every age, every ability, every gender, every human with open arms. This isn't about being fit or getting a personal best. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never run - what matters is showing up and taking part in whatever way you are able.”
