The popular RunFestRun event has been confirmed to go ahead this year on August 27-29 at the new location of Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire.
The event, launched by DJ Chris Evans and supported by Paula Radcliffe, Steve Cram and Vassos Alexander, includes distances from 3km to half-marathon, plus a running club relay and family fun run. In each case, much of the route will be off-road.
Last year's event was cancelled due to the pandemic, which also led to the dates for the 2021 edition being changed.
The three-day music line-up includes Texas, James Bay, All Saints and McFly and talks from the stage will feature Radcliffe, Cram and others. On-site camping, bars, street food and children's activities are also included.
RunFestRun technical director and former world 1500m champion Cram said: “Our commitment to make RunFestRun happen has never been greater, especially when running has played such an important part in keeping spirits up through a difficult year. We’ve been itching to get back on the road doing what we love – entertaining our running communities and creating memories through live events. The new dateline enables us to operate at a time when all restrictions should be lifted giving our visitors the chance to enjoy the weekend feeling safe.’’
The organisers say they are constantly monitoring government guidelines and working with local authorities to ensure the event is safe and enjoyable for all.
Tickets are now on sale, starting from £40.
