Anyone familiar with Salomon’s FellRaiser will recognise the SpeedTrak – it’s almost identical. The mesh tongue-cover prevents debris entering the shoe, and a Quicklace system allows the shoe to be tensioned quickly. The flexible, aggressive outsole with large, well-spaced lugs gave good grip in mud and on dry, rocky terrain, but wasn’t as good on wet rock as other shoes on test. The heel-to-toe drop is 6mm, and the fit felt fairly tight. Provides ample cushioning underfoot for longer runs.
A comfortable shoe that does well in the mud.
