Nice soft ride with a comfy 8mm heel to toe drop, but don’t think these can’t handle tough terrain. That said, steer clear of clinging mud and fathomless bogs as the cleats are close together and hold stickier mud. There’s all you’d expect from a trail shoe – a rock plate, suitably aggressive outsole lugs, all sitting on a comfortable Air Zoom unit for that typical Nike feel. The fit has also been fine-tuned to allow for better support over different terrain, making you feel a little more confident on hills.
Comfy road-friendly shoe happy with brief encounters of the muddy kind.
