There is evidence that trigger points are relieved by constricting the blood supply for 1-2min, followed by the release of pressure, which flushes blood through the area. To achieve this sometimes a ball shape is more effective than a roller.
Used on legs, bum and shoulders, the pressure can be intense but helps relieve stubborn knots that a roller might not get to. The points aren’t as long but, for an alternative, you could try laundry/dryer balls.
Plantar fasciitis and muscle strains including buttock, sciatica, lower back and leg pain.
Portable, good for targeting hard-to-get-to niggles.
